DCP Cares + Mobile assistant must embrace these distinctive characteristics when carrying out ministry responsibilities.
DCP CARES + MOBILE ASSISTANT will work alongside the Cares Team to plan and execute outreach events put on by Dream Center Peoria. This person will also be involved in the day to day of DCP Mobiles, including driving them into events, interacting and building relationships with the people we serve and volunteers, and insuring mobiles stay stocked and clean. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, ambitious, honest, passionate, and reliable. This is a twenty hour a week position.
Responsibilities:
Be on location of mobile events throughout the season.
Drive DCP Mobiles
Assist with day to day needs in the Hope Store.
Help plan and execute cares events.
Assist with walk-in needs from the community.
Promote our staff value “Give ministry away” by empowering volunteers to own the work they are doing.
Committed to DCP team member participation - Team Meetings/events
Assist with mailing out merchandise orders places through the DCP website.

Administrative ability to organize clearly and communicate effectively.
Be willing and able to do heavy lifting and physical labor
Meet insurance requirements for driving DCP Mobiles
Have a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend shifts.
Proficiency in Google Drive
Ability to multitask and be willing to switch tasks frequently
Knowledge of ministry areas at DCP
Ability to recruit, train and mentor teams
Ability to lead volunteers
Ability to work within a team environment including staff and volunteers
Ability to relate well to diverse groups of people and ministries
Passion and desire for Dream Center Peoria and this position to succeed
Must have a strong relationship with God, as evidenced by a healthy devotional life and moral lifestyle
Must have a strong family life
