mETRO KIDS

Metro Kids is a fun, lively, energetic environment where children and young people will be able to experience songs, games, activities, Bible lessons, and much more. Every first and third Saturday of each month, during the Fall and Spring semesters, kids ages 5-12 are invited to join DCP Metro Kids. Hosted in two locations East Bluff (Peoria) - Neighborhood Housing Service and in East Peoria - Richland Community Center. We invite youth groups, church groups, families and individuals to come and connect with students in this fun and relational ministry.

MISSION PEORIA

Mission Peoria is a weeklong mission trip designed for youth groups to serve the city of Peoria. Each day is split up into 3 parts. Service projects, Metro kids and Revival Nights.

Teams are created to impact inner city churches and organizations through service projects. Projects in the past have included painting, landscaping, reorganizing, and cleaning at local not for profits, inner city churches, neighborhoods and parks.

In addition to impacting the churches and organizations through service, the teams are designed to reach out to the neighborhoods around the city through Metro kids, a VBS style program right in the neighborhoods. The hope is that Mission Peoria will help begin relationships between the neighborhood and the church.

BACKPACK PEORIA

Through Backpack Peoria, the Dream Center partners with Peoria Public Schools and various community organizations to provide families with a one-stop shop to get ready for school.
On the last Saturday of July, we give away between 2500 and 3000 backpacks filled with school supplies. While at the event, families have an opportunity to register for school, get necessary dental and medical exams, meet with school administrators and get in touch with area resources.

Occurring in the fall and spring, Serve the City is where individuals, families, churches and organizations can unite to serve the city of Peoria and surrounding areas through a variety of service projects for the day.

PROMise of hope

PROMise of Hope allows high school girls the opportunity to shop for prom dresses and accessories every spring. Girls who attend are treated with love and dignity to remind them of their inherent worth.
Each girl can choose from hundreds of dresses to find ‘the dress’ and then match it with accessories. Everything is donated and given to the girls at no cost.
